We did it on the cheap, so I'm especially happy with how it turned out because I just love a bargain!

My mom recovered the glider with a fabric remnant I got on clearance. Even better? The chair was originally my first DS's and it was free then! (I worked as an event coordinator and we put on a baby expo. A company donated the chairs for use at the event and when it was over, gave me one. Woot!) The curtains were in DS2's nursery, as were the shelves.

The crib was purchased with store credit received from DS1's recalled crib. My mom sewed the bedding. The rug is from Walmart and was like $13. I made the artwork with some paint and canvases I already had. (btw -- her name is on them, but I edited it out since I posted these on FB and we're not announcing it until she arrives). I'm not sure I love the art -- they're probably going to be replaced with a piece my artist cousin has been working on.

My favorite part of the nursery -- her dresser. It was DS's and went with his crib. It was originally cherry and didn't match anything else we had, so I refinished it and put new (clearanced!) hardware on it.

Her chandelier. She *had* to have one. H was against it, but said if I could find one less than $50, he'd put it up. I don't think he knew about my bargain-hunting skills because this one was $40. He rolled his eyes when it arrived, but I think it's perfect.

Wow, it looks AWESOME and nothing makes me happier than a deal. You did a great job. I LOVE the carpet (and am going to look and see if I can find one) and am sooooo jealous of the glider pad cover. I really wish I (or someone I know) could sew. I have that same glider but I have the ugly original cushion.

Wow I love every single thing about this nursery! Especially the chandelier and dresser. I told my DH that if we were having a girl she would have a chandelier, haha. And refinishing DH's old dresser is on a to-do list for us, I think we're going with a sage green to keep it neutral. We're only 85% sure it's a boy, so if I end up with a surprise girl I'll definitely be referencing these photos!

Love it. We are having a girl this time and are using our currently nursery which is two shades of blue. The room has a beautiful two wall mural of a spring tree with birds. I am hoping to add some girlie touches. I would LOVE a glider like that! We have a green one with a tan slip cover on it. I hate it. I am going to bookmark the chandelier, b/c I have been hoping to find a reasonable one! Thanks for the show!

This is all incredibly beautiful! Who says a nursery has to cost an arm and a leg to look so gorgeous?! Oh and I LOVE the dresser and chandelier!!!
