Of the 12 eggs they retrieved, 6 were mature & 5 fertilized. I'm tentitively scheduled for a 3dt on Saturday @ 1pm. They will call me early Sat,though, to verify if I should come in or if they want to push me to a 5dt.
Although 5 is a really good # & it does only take 1, I'm a bit bummed that out of all the eggs they got, less than half fertilized.
Since I'm sure at least 1 or 2 of the 5 will stop growing, I'm going to really push to see if they will put back 2. Of course the nurse, once again, said "well, they are only going to put back one...blah, blah, blah" but I just kept thinking about how the nurse from yesterday said it's up to us.

If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.

5 is an awesome number, and who knows, they could all keep growing!
Just keep advocating for yourself and how many embryos you want to put back. Good luck!!!
Fab 5:) Good luck with your upcoming ET! I really agree with pp and fight to put 2 embies back as long as you & DH are ok with twins! I went with the motto during my IVF cycle of "No Regrets" and I mostly don't have any! Of course, once they brought the pics of both embies and recommended putting 2 back, I had a moment of panic! They left the room and DH and I had the chance to discuss how we felt in that moment and went with our original plan to put 2 back! Do what YOU think is best and stick to your guns!
good news on the 5, good luck on Saturday!! I hope they let you transfer 2 since this is your body and your decision! Fingers crossed for you!

Now I hope they all keep thriving.
TTC since 1/2008
I really think that you should pull for 2! My RE says that if you are under 35, he allows up to 2...I thought thas was common practice...it's your body!
Anyway-come on embies! I am thinking of you!!
Yes, it's up to YOU. I can see if you want like 4 put in and they say no, but 2 is not asking for much.
We based our decision on the grades. We had one perfect one and the other one hadn't been fully developed enough to grade. So, we transferred two. If you had two perfect grades, then you may consider one. Again, it's up to you.
I know it's a bummer, but you've got some you're working with. I've got everything crossed for you girl!

I know it's hard not to be disappointed - but those numbers are great! I hope those 5 keep growing and look fantastic for Saturday - good like!
If you want 2, start shaking the trees now. I told everyone I spoke to, and I think it was the call the night before transfer when the coordinator made it official at my insistence (they will probabyl have release paperwork for you to sign at transfer and you need to give them a chance to get it eady). I don't think at transfer is the time - I'm not sure you'll have the option right then.
It took 5 failed IUIs and a failed IVF, but our FET worked!
