Re: Tell me about IUI
I did four IUIs with 50 mg Clomid + trigger. I had 2-3 follies each time, and DH had great counts each time, but it didn't work for us.
Overall, though, all four were pretty easy. I never had any cramping or bad reactions to Clomid. It's worked for lots of women, and depending on your dx it can be a great option. Good luck to you!

Here is what my IUI #1 experience was with Clomid (from my blog). It got me a bfp, but ended in a chemical. I had major issues with my lining bc of the Clomid and because of that, did Femara next.

This was my IUI #2 on Femara, which I am waiting the results of:

1/11: IUI #2 = 5mg Femara + trigger + IUI = BFN
2/11: IUI #3 = injectibles + trigger + IUI = BFN

I had 2 with clomid. The first was on 100mg and I got I think 3 decent size follies but my lining was thin. The 2nd was on 50mg and I got 1 good size follie but had a good lining. Both = BFNs.
My RE's office is the next building over from my work so I just "snuck over" for the 15-30 minutes it took. The only unfortable part, for me, was when they would prod my cervix to get it to "pop-out" (gross sounding!). I had slight cramping when they inserted the catheter but it wasn't bad at all. As soon as they took it out, I was fine. They then had me lay there for 10-15 minutes. The 1st time they didn't tell me that I was supposed to watch the clock so I ended up laying there longer as I thought they would come in for me. I actually almost fell asleep b/s they turned the lights down low for that part.

I've done 3 IUIs and took varying degrees of Clomid and made 2-5 follies (see siggy if you want details). For each IUI, I had an ultrasound at Day 3 and on Day 11 or so to view follie size and lining. I triggered that same night if all went well, and had the IUI 36 hours later. Pain is similar to a pap. Not bad but a bit uncomfortable. I had cramping for 1-2 days following the procedure.
After 2 1/2 years TTC, 3 IUI's, endo, and a lap, a surprise BFP brought us Alexandra Marie!
**WARNING!, BFP mentioned**
I hope you don't mind that I am responding. I actually had my second IUI with clomid last month 12/22 and am currently PG. The reason I wanted to respond was to bring up something my Dr. suspects happened in my case. We did the IUI 36 hours after natural LH surge was detected, (no trigger shot), but my doctor thinks that I ovulated another egg later and that when we DTD 4 days after the IUI that is when we conceived based on my HCG levels which are doubling, but were VERY low at my first draw. I normally would have only DTD the next day to cover our bases, but we had a full house of guests for Christmas. When they left we just felt like it. I have had issues, so I am not ready to believe that this time things are going to work out, (not ready for a ticker for sure), If we have to start this process all over again in a few months I will FOR SURE be having sex the days following my IUI, previously my intuition had been to place myself on pelvic rest to not jostle anyting, (crazy I know). Additionally I believe that taking POM and Red Raspberry leaf capsules improved my lining. Good Luck!
