When should I start drinking this? I read somewhere that most women start drinking it too late for it to have an effect, but I don't want to start drinking it too early either!
We have a Whole Foods down here I get mine from. I really like the Republic of Tea brand its called "Get Maternal." It makes both a great hot and iced tea. I LOVE IT. I also like the Yogi "Mother to Be" Tea. Theyre both not JUST rrl tea but the main ingredient is rrl and I like the beneifts the other herbs in the tea do as well.
I just asked my MW this, she said it WILL NOT put you in labor. "If only it were that easy", she said lol. She told me to go ahead and start drinking 2 cups per day.
I just started last week (36 weeks); if it is too late at least I'm drinking more fluids.
My doula recommended doing half RRL and half nettle leaves & said it helped her with a quick recovery after her daughter was born. I get both loose by the ounce from a natural foods store; much cheaper than buying bags.

I've been drinking a blend that has RRL, nettle leaves, peppermint, and alfalfa since 14 weeks. It's also great to drink after the baby arrives since it helps to shrink the uterus.
Re: Red raspberry leaf tea
I've been drinking Yogi's Mother to be tea since the beginning - it has RRL in it but also other herbs.
Last pregnancy I drank Traditional Medicinals RRL tea a few times a day.
