Babies: 9 - 12 Months

UO and its child related

I think its gross when people eat food that their kids have been nomming on.  Some foods are worse than others, like a popsicle.  Especially when the kid is all drooly and boogery. That doesn't mean I think its gross to let your LO have a bite of your sandwich or a sip of your water, but messy foods.

Everyone told me that it would change when I had my own kid and that I would do it, but it hasn't changed.  Yes I made Asher, but that doesn't mean I want his boogers in my mouth.

  • I can see your point but for me personally, I eat after Aidan and it doesnt bother me in the least if he is all drooly and boogery!!  LOL!

  • Ha ha! I don't care who's food it is - drooly and boogery do not sound appetizing Smile

  • I won't eat after either of my boys if there slobber and backwash is all over it. Maybe I'm a prude, but that is just gross to me.

As a matter of fact, there has only been once or twice that I drank after Preston and that was because I was desperate.

  • i never really eat after ds w/his food. if he hands me his food i just pretend to eat it and then give it back to him.

  • haha.  I wouldn't do it in front of people cause I can see how disgusting it is, but I will totally eat nommed up food.

DH would totally agree with you. He comments every time i eat after DD. But I do NOT eat the boogery foods - just the drooly ones. And only if it's minimally drooly. Not the stuff she has had in her mouth whole and then decides to spit out (though the dog likes those just fine...)

    This!

  • haha, yeah I'm with you on that.  I feed DS from my spoon sometimes if I'm eating oatmeal or soup and want to give him a bite, and that's the extent of it.
