What can I do this weekend to cheer myself up?

I have a three day weekend. Just found out I lost this pregnancy (I posted yesterday... it was a chemical pregnancy, and I had a miscarriage before that). I'm feeling really bummed, and DH doesn't know quite what to say or do to help. What can I do this weekend to spoil myself a bit? (Without spending much). I am going shopping for some new clothes with a Christmas gift card. I want to play in the snow & build a snowman with DD. I want to watch at least one crappy movie. What else can I do?

  • ((Hugs))  So sorry to hear this.

Take a nice, long, hot bath or maybe a pedi?  Those are what I go to if I'm feeling down.

  • First off, I am sooo sorry for your loss. Your daughter's name is beautiful and I love the FENWAY part!

I have a suggestion, while you are out shopping for new clothes, get your make-up done, at the mall or whatever (MAC etc). IF oyu ahve to buy 1-thing lip gloss or something but you are not obligated to buy more. Maybe a facial, they are usually pretty affordable if you go with a local aesthetician. Hair blow-out. Treat yourself...definitely. AND CHOCOLATE:)Paradise

  • I am so very sorry for your loss.  What helped after mine was def a mani/pedi and a nice long, hot bubble bath, with a trashy magazine to read and then toss.  Also, I cooked my favorite dish.  It felt good to go out and buy all of the ingredients and then spend the time (and taking the time) to cook it, alone.  DH was great, really helping out with DS and knowing when to keep his distance.

Good luck, and just take the time you need!
