So, i have used opks for several months (not consecutively) and i think i have the hang of it.
Yesterday was CD16, and I used my first ovulation test at around 8am (woke up at 5) and I got a positive, then I did three more throughout the day and evening up until about 9pm and they were all equally positive. It makes send because I ovualated around day 18 last month. However, when I took a test at 8am today it was still positive. That made no sense to me because the surge doesnt last for 24 hours right?? I started testing at CD7 and yesterday were my first positives but I dont know what to think now.
Has anyone had that happen? positive opk for 24hours?? i know i should be charting but i havent started yet! Do you girls think that means my O day will be today or tomorrow?
any advice is greatly appreciated, you guys are much better with this that i am!!
Hope everyone affected got through the snow ok!!!
Simone
Re: opk confusion
The surge can last for 36 hours. So it is perfectly normal to get positives for more than one day.
Some ladies get posititves for even longer, or multiple positives in a cycle.

look at charts - I have gotten three days of positives, two days of positives, and one day of positives. Also, urine dilution can play a part.
