Upstate NY Babies

So bummed about my last Carter's trip!

I went to Carter's last weekend all by myself, I hadn't been in forever! I also finally used my People's Pottery store credit and got a Pandora bracelet and 2 charms/1 clip....LOVE it!

The boys stuff for 24 months is so disappointing! I used to love the baby looking stuff on him, but he is a little boy now! He looks silly in 1 piece romper things and I am not buying shirts that snap beneath since I hope he will be potty training in the next year. I hope the summer line of Tshirts and shorts is better, I miss Carter's!

I have been finding the best stuff for winter at CP, Old Navy, and Kohl's....Jumping Beans fit great! ON pants seem to fit well too, and I love CP blanket sleepers.

I went to Carter's armed with my coupon and left without a thing, successful trip according to dh!

  • I have been finding great things at CP.  I also like Kohl's selection and prices.  I will most likely check Carter's out at least once before this LO arrrives.

  • which charms did you get? i love my pandora bracelet.

that is how i felt about carters too.  most of ethan's wardrobe is the childrens place.

  • I love the Kohl's line, too.  And I've actually had a lot of luck with the Garanimals line at Walmart.  Their 24 month pants fit Gavin the best and they're so comfy!  A great deal for $3.50!
  • That's the way I felt when I went shopping there a few months ago. If he was still a baby or a girl, I would have had my pick of great clothes. I think I ended up with a couple turtlenecks and some pajamas. I am a huge fan of CP, and wish I got to ON a bit more, but it takes a conscious effort to drive to the ones that are close to me. Both stores have clothes that fit him the best.

I picked an R and filled with love (or lots of love?).....the bead with hearts all over it. I need another clip to keep them centered until I get more....I am hoping Valentines Day and Mothers Day will give me a new ones!

  • hmmm.... I forgot about valentines day.  I know i will get at least 1 for mothers day.  I think it is the funnest piece of jewelry since you keep adding to it and each charm has meaning(or at least the ones I pick do)

I agree....dh can't mess this up! lol I have exchanged a lot of gifts from him lately as he just doesn't seem to pay attention! haha When I was getting mine there was a lady there working on her second bracelet! This store is in Pittsford, lots of wealthy ladies!

  • I agree.  For me Carter's is great when they are little babies and for PJ's.  I can't even find much for Pierce there anymore at just 9 months.  It seems too babyish and always has large pictures on everything.  I got him one cute little fleece outfit, but that's about it recently.

I love Gap, Old Navy, Children's Place, and Target.  Pretty much everything they own comes from those stores.

  • Can you try looking at 2t in carters for tops and pants? It is harder to find stuff there once they get bigger, but I do put Eve in onesies still, especially for the winter.. but they are definitely problematic for potty training..For Eve, i find some of the 2 piece sets are cute.. but they're probably different for boys.

I actually have been finding a bunch of cute stuff for Eve at Old Navy.. Children's place is hit or miss.. sometimes the crazy prints are just too much for me.. I am definitley looking forward for the summer stuff to come out because Eve has a TON of winter stuff.

I do like the jumping beans stuff, but Eve outgrew their 18 month stuff before her other clothes in 18 months.. I should go back and get her some 24 month/ 2t stuff. she has a few 2t shirts from there that fit her fine..
