I'm considering enrolling DD in parent-child classes at the Little Gym. We go in for our intro class next week. Anyone else tried this or something similar? how was it?
I've always said I'm enrolling her as soon as she can walk. Because then I'll know she's got stability and will more likely than not be able to control much of what she does. (hopefully)
I canNOT wait for the day! yay yay yay! (I'm a retired dancer, so just to get back into it with her makes me so excited!)
We started right after C was 4 months old. She loves it and I love the contact with other parents and caregivers. It is an active class, and at the end DD sleeps all the way home. We are also enrolled in Gymboree and I like Little Gym more because they do things I wouldn't think to do at home. For instance, we do baby stretching and sommersaults, it teaches them skills to fall safetly when they are toddlers. Enjoy.
Years of trying and treatment, IVF#1 brought us
our darling C!
We started around 5 months taking a My Gym class. The class was for 6 weeks-6 months old. Since DS was one of the older babies, he could do all the activities. We are going to wait to take the next class since he would be in it with LOs from 7-14 months. DS is not that mobile yet so he wouldn't be able to do much compared to the other crawling/walking LOs.

We started Gymboree at 4 months old (level 1) and LOVED it. But now that he is in level 2, I am thinking of canceling my contract and going signing up when he is a toddler. The level 2 class just seems like a waste of money right now.
We just did a trial class at The Little Gym. She LOVED it! They had her rolling on her tummy on these big wheels and she was smiling the whole time! They teach 2 sign language words every class, and they have bubbles (her favorite!) and they do stretching and other fun activities. I'm very tempted to sign her up next semester (she's currently in a smaller, local baby gym class that ends in March) but it's about $400 for a 20-week semester, which is very expensive for a baby gym class IMO!

the cost is whats making me reluctant at this point. I'd rather put that to her college fund if its not SO valuable. We'll go try it out and see.
Re: Tumbling classes/little gym yes or no?
