Mamas with twins in the tummy...

in 1st Trimester

I have this gut feeling twins may be in my future....

What were the signs of twins and when did you find out of the exciting news of 2 on the way?

**Twins run in my hubby's family and it's due in our generation. Thinking twins or maybe even further along....not sure... :/

    Twins in your hubby's family won't affect whether or not you have twins. Just FYI. I think most find out at their first ultrasound, usually at around 5 weeks along.

    This. Fraternal twins are only passed down through the maternal side, if there is a genetic predisposition.  Of course you could have identical twins, which are completely spontaneous and not related to family history at all.

    This is my first pregnancy so I don't know if it's normal or not but I needed to buy pants 2 sizes bigger than normal at 9 weeks. Found out at our first ultrasound at 11w due to insurance. I didn't have any extra symptoms besides sore breasts, no morning sickness or anything.

    I found out yesterday at 8w that I'm having twins. I did not expect it at all. It's my first pregnancy so I just figured my symptoms were what pregnancy was like for me. They have been really awful though. I get sick many times a day and have had terrible heartburn and sensitivity to smells.

    I found out I am having twins yesterday! It was my 9 week ultrasound and we have no family history... anyway same as above I'm already well into maternity jeans and I'm HUGE. I'm also emotional, nauseous, and achy but thats normal in every pregnancy :)
