I know this has been posted before but I must have skipped it and can't find it....
so I'm curious what you are planning to re-purchase or purchase for baby #2
ie: new bottles (or maybe just the nipples), obviously diapers/wipes, possibly a new carseat, new sheets for crib (ours are very worn out now), breastpump parts, possibly more onesies and socks (we are team green so don't want to get to much again).
I just want to get my list and budget together...and I know I'm missing stuff.

Re: 2nd timers---what is on the list to purchase for baby #2?
We have already bought a new carseat (didn't plan on that, but the once I had for DS fell out of the back of DH's truck, and it is in 1,000 pieces). I still have a while to go, but that's something I believe in having early.
Definitely including the other items that you mentioned, and if DS won't get out of his crib, we may have to get one of those, too. Oh, and my breast pump died, so we'll get to replace that, too.
I still have a baby, but here is what we are planning on:
A new crib
A new crib mattress
A double stroller
Nipples
Two to four more bottles
and if it is a boy clothes.
That's all. My breastpump parts I have sterilized and are ready to go so no big deal. Other than that I can't think of anything. I have plenty of blankets and some unisex colored clothes.
Crib + mattress
Double stroller
Ring sling or breathable Moby wrap
Crib sheets
Breast pump (will purchase after baby arrives)
Some clothes
- new nipples for bottles
- new changing pad
- maybe a new pack n play but we haven't decided yet, ours was a hand me down and has seen better days
- new clothes, but I think I will be getting most of the them from a friend. This baby is a summer baby and last baby was an autumn boy.
This is my 3rd baby girl, so we don't have much to get. But, there are a few things we NEED.
- New car seat, ours is "expired".
- New crib + mattress since DD2 is still in her crib.
- nipples and a few more bottles.
- new pump parts
- new blankets/lovey (minimum 2)
- socks
My DD will be 3 1/2 and her goods are mostly pink. Just sorting through them now so we know what we need. We are having a boy and have a handful of blue/boy items. The list is growing...
pack n play
car seat/stroller - not sure if we want a double stroller yet
bouncer
crib bedding/mattress
bath tub
and mostly boy type outfits and onesies. Saved all DDs neutral stuff and just a handful to get us started. I didn't dress DD up unless it was a special ocassion really.
Blankets - receiving since he will be born in warmer months (May 28th d.d)
Breast Pump - BFd my DD for 19 months and gonna try with him too. Old double pump died and it was a good deal from a friend, just bought all new parts. Already got one lined up, yeah!
Baby book
hamper
nipples
pump parts
diapers
New washcloths
hangers
Nursing bras and tanks (I never had enough w DD).?
The new baby will pretty much use everything else of DD's. If it's a boy, we'll definitely need to buy a lot of clothes but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. I need to start buying stuff now so that I don't end up spending a ton of money right before the baby is born!
infant insert for ergo (we got the ergo when ds was toddler)
bottle nipples (not too many to start - i'm hoping to bf longer this time around)
new stroller (likely going to SAH this time around so want a jogger)
extra changing pads/caddies (we moved from a tiny one story cottage to a larger 3 story house last year so am setting up a changing station on each floor!)
video monitor (see previous comment)
extra hooded towels (DS is still using his)
breast pump or new motor for old pump
paci's
bottles and nipples
breastpump attachments
bibs
receiving blankets, hooded towels, etc
new clothes... its a girl
We are purchasing:
* Nursery furniture/bedding/decor (we bought Emily "lifetime" furniture for her nursery that will carry her through her pre-teen years we hope!)
* A swing that plugs into the wall (Emily's only used batteries, ugh!)
* An Ergo (only had a sling with Emily and she wasn't comfortable after about 4 months in it)
* A new stroller (4 years of Emily abusing my Chicco travel system and it's toast!)
* Miracle blankets for swaddling (Emily HATED being swaddled so I don't have even regular receiving blankets)
* Clothes (especially if this baby is a boy!)
Everything else that we saved (carseat, PNP, bouncer, exersaucer, breast pump, etc.) over the last 4 years is in great condition and are being reused.

A Moby wrap or Baby K'Tan
Aden and Anais swaddle blankets
A Snap and Go
Second changing pad and covers
New, larger, better diaper bag and a messenger-style bag for DH

crib bedding set, sheets, changing pad covers
swing- dd was a hand me down, and just way too old to make it through this baby too
boy clothes
diapers, bottles, pacifiers, blankets, hangers, hamper and new boppy covers
2nd Crib
2nd convertible seat
clothes (having a girl this time)
cloth diapers
new bedding
Bottle nipples
breast pads
milk storage bags
probably will just replace valve for breast pump my tubes etc are still in great condition.
a car seat base (we only had 1 with DD and def want 2)
Rock and Play sleeper
A few of the nice swaddling blankets and wearable blankets
some new dishwasher baskets for parts
I really can't think of what else right now. I have not been feeling too motivated lately!
If it is a boy: clothes, towels, and a few blankets
Carter James
New bottle nipples, pacis, and drop-in liners (and maybe some more masculine looking bottles-we got a bunch of girly ones from someone that didn't like the drop-ins)
Dual camera video monitor (our single is pretty much dead).
Baby boy stuff:
Blankets (only a few - we have a few gender-neutral ones)
1 boy hooded towel ( have a couple neutral ones)
Baby boy bibs
Baby boy clothes (socks, onesies, everything really) - we got blasted with pink prior to DD was born and have a handful of neutral clothes out of the 8 huge bins of clothes I went through this past weekend!
Bedding, room decor, and a few furniture pieces for the baby's room since DD will be keeping her dressers.
still debating if we'll need a double stroller...
plus the wipes, diapers, creams, new Tylenol infant drops, gas drops, etc...
To start out:
New boppy and cover
Breast pads and nipple cream and breastmilk storage bags
Moby, I think. ?
Double stroller (leaning toward the Bumbleride Indie Twin
Diapers, wipes, bath stuff, etc.
Some comfy summer post-partum clothes (T-shirts, casual skirts or cropped workout pants, etc).?
We were team green last time and this time, so we have a lot of neutral stuff. ?And I already have new breast pump parts and a new breast pump
?
?
Both a crib and a car seat are on our to buy list. And its not because they will be just under 2 years apart. About a month ago when I was pulling crib bedding to wash I noticed that a bar that goes lengthwise across the end panel of the crib had broken...and I dont mean just a crack! It was just hanging there! So DS has been sleeping in the pack n play (its so horrible but we are moving at the end of this month and by that time we're pretty sure DS will be ready for the toddler bed). And the car seat we need because it was a hand me down from one of my cousin's whose kids are a bit older and it would pass its saftey maturity by the time this little one arrives. The crib was a hand me down too! It managed to survive her three kids though.
Those being the major purchases. New bottle nipples, some more sheets, pacifiers...Another mattress because if we go with a toddler bed that one will be occupied! (We're also considering putting a twin size on the floor for now.) Probly some luvies because I know DS wont give his up!
They were pretty sure this one is a boy too so I dont forsee a need to buy clothes I had a whole huge tub full for each age range...and half the stuff never made it on DS #1 anyway. However if we were expecting a girl I could forsee buying a new wardrobe for her and some girly decor for her side of the nursery or if we were to clear out the guest room and put her in her own room.
I mean diapers and wipes and formula (if BFing doesnt work out for me again
), there would be a really long list if you listed out all the needs for a baby.
a car seat
I'm trading a bunch of DS's old clothes for girly ones. Same with diaper covers and blankets.
Since my little ones will only be a year apart I don't need much. All the stuff to set up a bedroom and a double stroller. If I have a girl this time around I won't be able to resist all the pink clothes.
A double stroller
A double bike trailer
New pacis
New bottle nipples
A couple pump pieces
Some towels & rags
If it's a boy, clothes, crib sheets and blankets
It is nice not needing everything this time around, but at the same time, I miss picking things out and opening all the new baby stuff!
crib + mattress (DD is still in her crib)
pump parts (supposed to replace every 6 months anyway)
bottles (not sure about this one--DD was breastfed, so we didn't use them a ton)
changing pad cover
some boy blankets
a white noise machine that actually plugs in (DD's was battery operated and we've spent so much $ on *#% batteries)
a bath temp turtle (DD's died)
Not including diapers, all we need are new nipples and a new lovey. That's it!
Seeing as I already bought the lovey (2 of the same) this week, all I have left are nipples. I wonder if I have enough time to get them? LOL
ETA:Oh, and a new changing pad. And I *might* buy an Ergo if I find one on sale.
new bouncy seat
cloth diapers
swaddling blankets
