I've been lurking for a while, I decided here was probably the best place to join in. The month boards have some drama going on I'm not sure I want to get involved in!
About me: 36, married, on maternity leave until next October (yes, Canadian). There are 5 dc's in our busy house, ds has the honor of having 4 younger sisters (mwahahaha). My two least favorite questions from strangers, family and friends at the moment are: You do know what birth control is, right? and Are you planning on having any more? (Uh, yeah, and absolutely not!!) I'll post about the funny (truly is) story behind all of that later.
Right now I'm procrastinating....I'm supposed to be getting dressed to take ds to get fitted for a CPAP machine (prevents sleep apnea) after lunch. It's -20C/-4F, only slightly warmer that yesterday's -28C/-18F. Also means bundling dd#4 and dragging her along. Sigh. Stay warm snow ladies, and to those in warm climates, I'll trade you for a week, you can come ski and I'll come for sun and swimming!
Ciao!

My Blog

Toronto is fun, I'll probably try to get up there this summer for Canada's Wonderland DH actually applied for their fire service, so I guess we'll see if we end up in the GTA. I'm out west, near Calgary, but I've been spending summers in southern Ontario since I was a kid. I'm really looking forward to back to school shopping in Detroit. If not, I'll probably drive down to Spokane again. I miss Jack in the Box!
Yeah, dh and I have gone back and forth on that too. There have been times when I've been on leave, or he has. Prior to S, he was laid off after I was returning from mat leave from K....I was laid off when I returned and found something straight away. He ended up staying home with four kids for 18 months and survived. Not so sure the house did though!
The job I'm currently at is the first one I can say I'm happy to go back to, great atmosphere. The rest, well, at least one is up for labor law violations. No love lost.
Enjoy being at home with Margaux, I'm realizing they grow up way too fast.
