Really? Wow, I have no idea how I would handle that. When I was a bratty teenager and would tell my parents I hated them (yes, I was an @ss), my parents would say "well, we love you." I am sure that is the last thing they were really thinking/feeling.
DH thinks it is funny to "talk" for Evan so when I say things he thinks are wrong he will say "you don't know these things, Mommy." I told him he better stop or Evan will really say that to me one day.
Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!
BFP #1 6/22/09 EDD: 3/2/10 DS born: 3/8/10
TTC #2 since Dec 2011
BFP #2 7/8/12 EDD: 3/18/12 M/C @ 9w1d: 8/16/12
We are dealing with the same exact thing! C is constantly talking back and saying terribly smart-mouthed things. We can't believe some of the things coming out of his mouth.
It's happening at our house too. I'm not sure what to do. Sending her to her room usually gets her attention pretty quickly. But the behavior isn't changing over time. I think a lot of it is their age, but it's annoying and exhausting.

Yeah, for my own sanity, I am going to go with age. I've dodged a bullet for now because T directs a lot of it at Mathis...
"Mathis, that is RUDE."
"Mathis, I don't want to see you do that again."
"Mathis, you'd better quit it." (Thanks, DH, for saying "quit it" all the time. Awesome)
G used to say, "don't tell me no", or if I start The Countdown, "don't say one". I don't know what happened but those days are far and few between now, don't miss them at all.
