  We chose not to night train and just let it happen naturally.  He has been training himself over the past couple of months.  He likes to wake up and see if the picture is still on his pull up.  He's even gotten up in the night to go potty by himself.  We have applied no pressure.  We celebrate when he's happy that his pull up is dry but that's it.  I'd rather him wear a pull up at night for another year than have to get up and change his sheets at 3 a.m.  If he can manage to stay dry every night for a month I'll consider sending him to bed without a pull up.

  I've never heard of "night potty training" how/what do you do?  I always thought you just had to wait until they were consistently dry in the morning then you put them to bed in undies....

  K was waking up dry long before we ever got her to pee on the potty. So once she figured out peeing on the potty I put her to bed in panties. I can count on one hand how many times shes woken up wet. So I would go with just let him go at his own pace.

  Same here. Tru gas been in pull ups almost a year. He sleeps like the dead, so he still wakes up with a pretty soaked pull up. He just isn't ready yet. Kids still have night time accidents until they are 5 or even older, so I am not worried about it. He'll be ready when he's ready.

  lol....that's pretty much it. Not really much to it.  Like V said, some kids still pee in pull-ups until 5 or so. It is much more difficult to control or "train" besides the "no liquids right before", "pee before bed" etc, it still happens. The overnight dryness just kind of happens on its own.

  Connor did it on his own really. After several weeks of being day trained he refused a pullup at night anymore. He had a few accidents the first couple of weeks, but with some incentive and the fear of returning to pullups he got the hang of it pretty quickly. He very rarely has an accident now.

  I don't think my success story would be fair.  I hear it's harder for boys to learn to sleep through the night with no accidents.

  We never did any training or anything besides just putting her on the potty right before bed.  She woke up dry three or four mornings in a row, so we just put her in panties.  She wakes up now screaming "MAMA DADA POOP!"  It's an awesome wake up call.

  He was 3.5.

  Reasoning: Last pullup=time to try it. That and he seemed to understand the concept. He's been doing great. Only one bed wetting so far. However, he sometimes has aiming accidents at night and wakes us up. I'm very proud of him, though.

  E is still in a diaper at night... she daytime PTd at 22mo. She's 44mo now, so half her life she's been PTd for day, and still no luck at night time. How's that for horror story?  

  But we are just letting nature take it's course, not doing anything to try to train her. I told her she can wear panties to bed when she wakes up dry for a whole week. So far 4 nights in a row is the best she's done. She seems happy when she's dry, but doesn't really mind being wet. Among my IRL friends, 4-4.5 seems to be the age for staying dry at night for boys and girls. I did just switch her back to cloth diapers to see if that would be an incentive to stay dry, but I'm also considering pull-ups so that she can go potty during the night.

  she does ok with naps, but i think it will be a long while with maddy for night time.

  she has to have her cup of milk before she gets ready for bed, and even though she goes pee right before getting into bed, and sometimes she will even wake up in the middle of the night to go, she still has a pretty wet pull up in the morning.
