I saw this on the news last night and thought it was so interesting. I am not sure why I was so surprised that Hawaii has snow on the mountain tops but I was.
I live in Fort Lauderdale and it was 80 yesterday and today it is 57, cold for us. I grew up lived in MA until 3 yrs ago when we moved to Miami. I don't think I could ever live in the snow/cold again. Even through I cried when my Dh told me we were moving.. I now love it!'
No snow, but it is cold here for us right now. It is 51 out right now with 18 mph winds. Way too cold and windy to have the kids outside, so an indoor day it is, which sucks because it is nice and sunny and the girls keep asking to go outside and get in their bouncy house (it might blow away with this wind).
I know most of you all would say 51 sounds great and I am sure it does when you are currently in the teens and twenties. But when you are used to it being 70-75 during the day, this is cold. I know I lived in PA for my first 23 years, so I know cold and snow and last year I was living in Northern VA when we got those 3 back to back huge snow storms and it is rough living in the cold. That is why now that I am back in FL I am never going back up north.
We have all been saying today, if we start seeing white stuff on the ground we are packing up and moving to the Bahamas.
Oh and it is going to be a hard freeze here tonight for us, so I will be out covering all my vegetation before the sun goes down, so I don't lose all my new plants.

Re: Every state except Florida has snow on the ground right now
Hawaii always has snow in the mountains or something like that. I learned that this morning haha. It's crazy right? I think Florida should get some.
Daycare is SO exhausting!

I know, right? California is the same way and that always surprises me.
You can even ski/snowboard on the Big Island
