Has anyone bought this?? I LOVE LOVE LOVE it...and it's on sale, and I'm okay with the price. BUT I just looked at it's over $300 for shipping!!! I don't know what to do. Did you pay that much for shipping on yours!?
We didn't get the Tori collection, but we ordered all of our nursery furniture from JCP in November. We got free site-to-store shipping. We just picked it up from the local store. If there's a store near you, see if that's an option. $300 for shipping is ridiculous!

My DH and I are thinking the same thing! $300 is outrageous to us! I think a week or two ago they had a "free shipping to store" promotion and every single store we selected near us was not eligible. We may not be getting the set just because of that.
OKay, I'm glad I'm not crazy. I SWORE there was free shipping- but now site to store is not even an option. I really want this set- but now I'm looking at ones on BRU and they have free shipping- so I can spend more, but actually spend less!? This is just silly!
Yeh, I've been shopping aruond online ALL night and haven't found anything that I like nearly as much. My dad mentioned before that he'd like to help buy the crib...so I sent him an email to see how he's feeling about $$. I'm probably going to get it either way- I like all the peices that match it, and it got really good reviews. Thanks for letting me know it is a nice set!
It's a beautiful set, but FWIW a lot of parents give it poor reviews if you plan on using some sort of crib bumper....the front panel makes it very difficult to attach a bumper properly.
ME! At the time when I bought my set they had free shipping...and I got the set for around $860...I love it! It's really heavily built, the dresser and changer come assembled.
Cons: there is a really ugly warning sticker that takes about an hour to get off...and the front panel does make it difficult for bumpers - but I would still buy it!
I did a ton of research...looking...etc. This set was the hightest quality for the $ in my opinion.
I just bought some items from JCPenney this week and here's how I increased my savings:
1. Order online through ebates.com and you'll get 3% cash back on the total order. eBates is awesome but just make sure you set up an account and link to the JCPenney store through their website. Here's my referral link. They process the cash back every quarter and you can choose to get a check mailed to you or a credit to your PayPal account.
2. See if you can use this coupon code JCPCRBAN which could save you an additional 15%. I found it on this website and it says it's valid through 2/1/2011. It worked on my last two orders for housewares.
3. Buy JCPenny electronic gift cards from https://www.plasticjungle.com/ for 14% off the price. So, if you are getting $500 worth of stuff, you can buy $500 worth of gift cards for only $430. For the electronic gift cards, you usually get the code within about 24 hours and then you can order online and use the code they send you.
I didn't get the tori collection I got the eco babi crib and dresser and shipping was $250.00 and with the close out price on the set I actually paid just 11 more for my furniture then shipping I was a little peeved but I got such a great deal I couldn't pass it up but I went to retail me not and got an extra 15% off to make me feel better. If you love it it is worth it I say. Even though its like you are paying for air!!LOL
I am just lurking but we have the Tori collection for DD and LOVE it! It's great quality in person. I had the same hesitation but I highly recommend it! I think we waited until a holiday (I think it was like Valentine's Day or something) and they offered free shipping or shipping for like $5. They also take free returns to the store if you're not happy so you don't have to worry about shipping it back. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I usually post on 6-9 Months.

Hope that helps you save some money.
Maybe the crib set is an exclusion, but this came up when I looked on the site:
