Baby book???

Am I the only one who hasn't done a baby book?  Well, I started filling out the pages but that is all I have done.  I have all the stuff (i.e., pics, sono pics, etc.) in a bag but not in the book.  Same thing with pictures - I take ton of pics but they're digital so I get lazy about printing, framing, or doing a photo book.

  • As long as you have all the stuff you'll get around to it at some point. It took me a while and actually his still isn't done.
  • You are not alone.  I now have 3 baby books that are only partially completed but have the stuff in the box the baby book came in.   I will get around to it one day.

  • I don't even have a baby book. Just a box with the stuff I wanted to keep.

This. Maybe at some point I'll have time to put it all together in a book.

  • My cousin made us a really nice scrapbook and I haven't done a thing with it.  Kinda hoping she's offer to do it! HA!  But I have stuff stashed all over the place that I plan to put in it, add pages, etc.   It's on my "list."

  • I have everything stuffed in the canvas tote bag that the midwife gave us at the hospital with all the paperwork in it! Haven't looked at it since, just occasionally cram more stuff into it. Hopefully I'll get to it before he gets married....

  • Guilty as charged.  I have a book and have some of the updates from the doctor and pics stuck in the front cover.  The rest of stuff is scattered in on my desk.  I'm crossing my fingers I will get it done before S turns 18.

  • i don't even own a baby book... but i've blogged (private) about every and any little thing, including pics, letters, milestones, etc since her birth and plan on turning it into a book

  • I've done some work on mine but am wwaaaayyyy behind. I just got aton of pics printed, so that's progress. Right?
  • I have a photo album for Jason plus a few things in a box. I have just ordered a real baby book from Amazon for Erin and made H print out a few pic's to go into it.

  • I also have a memory book but haven't written in it. I mean what day did she get her first tooth? I don't think I can pin down half of these things because all of it has been such a tremendous evolution.

Instead, I've made books for her on Shutterfly: https://babypeeper.shutterfly.com/

It's easy and I can finish one in less than a week. They have been great presents for the grandparents, who have a full set. The next book will be a 1-2 year book and I plan to use scrapbooking software to do it. I'm so excited!!

My blog has been really helpful for keeping track of her milestones - big and small - and my thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I've thought a lot about not keeping it up but then I go back and look at the evolution of it, the evolution of myself as a mom and I know it's valuable. Even if it's only me and maybe 3 other people who read it. I found a place that will print and bind them. I might do that for her to read one day.

I'll post this separately too - I think these books are wonderful ways to document. Ada loves to read the story of Ada Caroline Shepherd. It's my favorite story too ;-)
