Re: Opinions on names- also on Baby Names board so sorry for duplicate
My faves of your list:
McKinley
McCartni- definitely different, I kinda like it- especially if you're a Beatles fan

My 2 cents:
Girls - Reagan, Presley and Macie (not Maci) work.
Boys - Cooper works, but I don't know about Cooper with Chad as a middle name.
I'm personally not loving the other names, but it's not my kid. Sorry, but the name McCartni looks ridiculous.
If you want honest opinions....
I really dislike Reagan and Presley. I keep thinking Ronald and Elvis. When I hard Becket (since I'm a history major) I think of Thomas Beckett the Archbishop of Canterbury .
I also think McKinley and McCartni sound too much like last names. Just not my style.
I do like Maci and Cooper. I sorry for being so negative about your names!!
DS#1- Born August 2011
I am not a fan of made up spellings (McCartni) or surnames as first names (most of your list) so I'd have to default to Macy. FOr a boy, Grady is fine.
I urge you to picture these on an adult as well. Add Dr, or Esquire to them all and see how they work. I couldn't imagine an adult named McCartni. Seriously.
Like PP, I think its important that you picture your child as an adult when you're selecting names. I agree with her comment on "McCartni."
Your list is NMS, but I think Cooper and Grady are okay.
All of your boy names are nice, however I think Chad sounds better as a first name with all three.
Maci is really pretty but I prefer any other spelling. Reagan is nice also. Presley is nms but not terrible. McCartni is atrocious and you should look for a picture of President McKinley before you consider naming a little girl that!
This is great advice. I kind of shudder at McCartni if we're all being honest here. Might be cute for a toddler, but not a grown woman.
I like Maci but not that spelling. Reagan is also cute.
Grady or Maci (spelled Macie).
I am not a fan of the "Mc" names. Reminds me too much of McDonald's.
Thank You for all the input everyone, definately have some more thinking to do, I for sure do not want to name her/him anything they will hate growing up.
I am finding out @ 13 weeks as I did with DS, by that time it is pretty clear, well with DS it was verrryy clear, my family has also gone at that time and been able to see all 100% girl parts for DD as well so I will be finding out early again, I am not very patient and like to know what LO is as soon as possible so I can start the fun stuff

You can make a clicky poll like the one I have in my siggy. Just click on it and make a log in, then create your list. Then you can keep it in your siggy if you're looking for feedback.
I like Grady.
MC 9/8/10
Baby Boy Born 7/31/11
I'm also NOT a fan of McCartni, and I'm pretty open about liking almost anything. This one borders on ridiculous... sorry
Mostly the others are really cute, I adore the name Grady!
McKinley- not a fan of the surname for a first name trend or the fact that this reads as really trendy to me
McCartni- REALLY not a fan of 'made up' first names- especially when the spelling is weird with that i on the end (and it's got that surname thing again)
Grady- OK, but just nms; sounds a little harsh to me, but it's ok
Cooper- best boy name on your list for sure!!
Beckett- i like this one, but it's WAY too trendy sounding for my taste; I try to stay away from trendy names as they're more likely to feel dated eventually... also sounds VERY prep/sport to me (which could be good, could be bad)
Presley- not a fan at all... I think elvis & it sounds too trendy and unisex to me
Reagan- while nms, I don't mind this one, possibly because I've known several Reagans... always thought it was a little tomboyish, but it's not bad at all
Macie- love this one- as long as it isn't spelled with one i on the end; stick to ie or y!! Cute, classic, simple!
I like your middles a lot more than most of the list. Chad and Kay are simple, classic, and strong names. I've never been a fan of Kay- but that's because of a personal association only (although I'm not sure I like Kay with Reagan). I'd say Chad or Cooper for boy and Macie or Reagan for a girl.

Well, I guess I'm different here because my DD has a surname for a last name that also happens to be a president. (Ha, Although Kennedy is a family name. If we have a boy, we are doing the same last name theme and going with Carter. lol. serious.)
I love the name Reagan. I don't like McKinley or McCartni or however you spelled it. The name is ok but it would have to be spelled correctly. Not a fan of Maci.
I like the names Cooper and Grady.

(First time preggo woman question..)
Are you having an elective anatomy scan? Or how are you finding out so soon??
It is elective, we have a place here called fetal fotos who will do gender determination along with the 3D/4D scans, I did it the first pregnancy because my doctor would not do movies of the ultrasound and I only got 2 pics total of the LO, at this place they gave me a DVD that was about 15 min. long watching LO bounce around (that is the way we announced the gender everyone watched the movie) and I also got about 10 diff. photos of him, made for a fun baby book.
I really liked the experience so I decided we would try it again !

This! I think McKinley and Maci are cute. McKinley reminds me of Makenna which I think is sweet. I like the boys' names but not necessarily with the middle name Chad.
