He doesn't understand "small bites"

I know everyone suggests cutting foods into finger shapes so babies can hold and bite off little bites.  Except Aiden thinks anything that lands in front of him needs to be eaten in one gulp.  I can't even put multiple small pieces in front of him because he grabs it ALL up and shoves both handfuls in his mouth.  Yesterday I had to fish a sweet potato fry out of his throat.  Later he shoved way too many fry "bites" into his mouth and puked all over.  Nice.
