Parenting after 35

Pulled from 6 to 9

A mother was concerned that her child would bang its head while crawling.  For the love of Pete and the other mothers said so.

That being said, look what someone found.

I am all about safety but I think that this is going over the edge.

Re: Pulled from 6 to 9

  • Oh, my!  M bangs his head all of the time.  Isn't that how they learn?

  • M used to bang his head like it was his job - always had a constellation of little bruises on his forehead. I freaked out the first few times but learned to get used to it.

  • Seriously?! That's a bit extreme. Bumping your head is part of learning and growing... Plus, can you imagine all the extra time it would take you to put on/take off that gear? Geesh!
  • That is funny! I think I need to get it for my 2nd son - he likes to head butt us in the face.. maybe that would protect us a bit more.  It won't hurt us as much ; )

  • There is NO way that Logan would let us put that on his head! lol

I have 2 boys that so far have made it to 15 & 11 without one of those. I'll take my chances with Logan as well. ;)

  • Yeah, we laughed over that helmet on the Plagiocephaly support group on Babycenter.  Helmet baby mamas find that VERY funny.

That being said, I tell Aaron all the time that he needs another helmet. He STILL bangs his head--deliberately at times.

This!  I actually snorted when I saw the picture.  I mean, cute baby and all, but jeez louise, that is just too much.

  • The baby in the picture is wearing knee pads too! Guess you can never be to careful, baby might decide to crawl all over your broken glass display or something...
