If you used Ferber...

... how many BAD nights?  We are waiting to try until we are sure we can devote the time and not cave so looking for some insights... thanks!

    We weaned her from her nighttime bottle first and had 2 bad nights. THEN we did ferber and only had 1 bad night so far. we are on night 3 tonight. last night she slept 13hours!

    It was probably about a week.  Fortunately we were both on winter break.  It was pretty brutal but life is to good now!  GL!

    The first night was the worst...she cried for 35 mins after we put her down, throughout are checks and reassuring.  But she slept through the night that night...each night after there was less crying.  After about a week she was in a great routine.

    It took about a week, but it is so much better now! I learned my lesson from my first dd that consistency is key. Of course it took years of bedtime battles for me to figure it out!

    We didn't have any really....We were doing the checking/comforting for a few weeks and that didn't work for us.  It seemed to piss her off more each time we left.  The first night we didn't go in she cried for 9 minutes and now she will go down awake for bedtime and naps!  Good luck!
