Sloppy joe recipe??

Anyone know the recipe that calls for cans of different campbell's soups? I have heard of it and googled it but have came up with nothing...

TIA

Re: Sloppy joe recipe??

  • Mine has one can of soup in it - but it's not really a "traditional" sloppy joe. It's probably not what you're looking for, but I'll share just in case:

    2 lbs ground beef, browned

    1 onion, chopped

    1/2 cup ketchup

    1 TB mustard

1 can of chicken gumbo soup

    salt and pepper to taste

I cook it in the crock pot for 5 or 6 hours on low, but you could probably do it on the stove if you wanted.

I actually think this is a pretty common one.  My mom makes it this way and my MIL makes it the same way.  They both make it on the stove.

My grandma makes it this way, but this is the first time I've heard of others who do, though I'm sure she had to have found it somehwere Smile I'm not a huge fan of tomato-y sloppy joes, so I love this one!
