Normal or Not Normal?

I had my last full period 12/05/2010 and I should have had my period at least by 01/06/2011, but I have not.  I did notice that I spotted about two weeks after my period for about a day.  I took a pregnancy test on 01/07/11 and it was negative.  Is this normal? Should I expect my period soon? Should take another test? Please help me.

    I'd take another test with your first morning urine. Some women spot when they are ovulating. Do you chart your cycles so you know when you ovulate?

    Were you on BCP's, and how long has it been since you have been off BCP's?

    Have been off birth control since November 3rdish.  We have been trying since I stopped taking birth control.
