Trouble TTC

Frustrated with RE office (long)

So AF arrived Friday, I am supposed to call the IVF coordinator the next day (if AF arrives after 4pm - which it did) to set up my next IVF cycle.  So I called Saturday.  I had to leave a message in the general mailbox.  (It did not give you the option to dial the extension).  Someone called me back within 2 hours and said they emailed the IVF coordinator and if I didn't hear back by Sunday to call back.

So...I called back yesterday morning (monday)...left a mesage...called back in the afternoon and left another message and explained that it is important that I speak with her so that I can get the dates of importance so that DH can try to block off time at work (He travels a lot for his job).  I never heard back.

I called back again to ask if the IVF coordinator was in that day.  The woman got really nasty to me and said "Didn't you listen to the message?  It states she will call back within 2 business days if it is not an emergency."  Well what the heck would I be calling a coordinator for if it was an emergency?  I would be calling 911 or my doctor??!!  I tried to explain my situation and she interrupted me.  I told her to let me finishing what I was saying.  She passed me along to the coordinator and I got VM again.

I still haven't heard a thing.  I know I don't need anything set up right away but DH needs to get his information to his job and we need to try to coordinate our schedules so that someone will be home for when the medicine will be delivered (which we can't order until I speak with the IVF corrdinator)  Maybe I am just over emotional about everything but I feel so frustrated.

  • I don't blame you for being upset.  This is already a stressful situation, they don't need to add to it by not calling you back & being rude about it.  I hope they call you soon & get it all straightened out.

OMG I would be furious. You are not overreacting or over emotional (unless we all are too) lol  I'm so sorry they're not getting back to you. Is there no one else you can try and go through there to get a response?

Nope.  They just keep putting me through to the coordinator. Angry

  • Beth, I would be furious! You are such a sweetheart and are only trying to get things figured out. I cant BELIEVE the woman gave you attitude and then tranfered you to VM. I know this sounds crazy but is there anyway you can drive by there on your lunch break? I did this once and they let me talk with a nurse for a few seconds.

So annoying!! Im sorry you have to go through this.

Thanks sweetie!  I have to go into a meeting and I have a crazy day so I won't be able to go over there.  I'm stressing too because I am sure she won't be in the office tomorrow with the snow.  Sigh.

  • That is horrible.  I would be upset too!!  :::::HUGS:::::
  • I'm sorry.  That is very frustrating.  I really hate when people don't respond or treat you like it is your problem.  I'm glad you did end up hearing back from them.  I hope things go smoother from here on out.  Best of luck, Beth!!
