XP: Montessori School- need your help!

HI all! I work at a Montessori School and we are looking for questions to answer at an upcoming question and answer we are holding at our school.

If you can think of any questions you may have about Montessori or any questions you can think of that someone else may have please post them so we can get a nice group of questions together!

It is deeply appreciated!!

  • Um... maybe I'm too cynical here, but shouldn't the questions come DURING your Q&A session and the prospective parents??  I can't imagine there being all that many that would be curve balls, ya know?

I mean, that's kinda the point of a Q&A session, right?   If you provide them with questions and answers ahead of time, then why bother with the session?  Just send out the sheet to prospective parents.

we sent out a letter asking parents to send in their questions so that we know if people are interested and have questions that other parents would be interested in hearing the answers to. Since we havent gotten any responses we are trying to come up with some of our own questions to respond to in case we dont have any questions from parents.

  • I would want to know the difference in philosophies among Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia. I would also like to know what behavior or personality traits a child who would thrive in a Montessori environment exhibits.

    I hope that helps!

  • I'd like to understand the philosophy and approach of Montessori, and what benefits it has as compared to other approaches.

I'd also like to know what a typical day looks like.
