Does anyone have a video monitor with a camera that pans? I guess we're far too dependent on the video monitor, but now that Holly's in a toddler bed, and gets out of the bed sometimes, I hate that we can't see what she's doing. She's usually just looking at books, etc, but I want to be able to check in on her. For the past two nights, she's gotten out, played, then fallen asleep on the floor. It's not a huge deal, but when things go quiet, I'd like to see what she's up to (or isn't up to!) Obviously, with a regular video monitor, it's just aimed at her bed. So if she's not in it, we can't see her.
But anyway, the volume on our Summer handheld one is on the fritz (again--this happened when she was around 10 mos, and they replaced it for free), so we're considering getting a new one. If we do, I want one that pans.
I wondered if anyone had any experience with one, or had one you'd recommend. TIA!

Catching up on sports news...
I'd love to see it too since I really want to get one b/f #2 arrives.

We just bought this one in November. I love it! And there are no glowing red lights staring at your baby/toddler in the dark. The touch screen is nice too, but my main goal was to have one that pans and does not have the circle of red lights.
As an added bonus, it has 2-way communication. So if my 2.5 year old gets out of his bed too early or is playing too long before his nap, I can tell him to climb back in bed or to be quiet. He knows it is me and usually obeys....even while he is stating "I don't want to... Mommy!"
It was marked down to $250 when we bought it and I had a 20% off coupon. Defintiely is pricey, but this one is a purchase I found worthwhile....now to get another camera before DS#2 arrives in March. BRU is currently out of stock on the extra cameras....grrr!
THIS is the one we have. We love it!
