PINK! We had another beautiful baby girl who was born on January 4th.
My water broke in the middle of the night and we headed to the hospital early that morning. I was able to go med free again this time and avoided having to use pitocin by doing some nipple stimulation to get contractions going a little more. Got into the tub at 6cm. Within 20 minutes of getting into the tub I started feeling a ton of pressure. Started pushing and pushed for about 15-20 minutes. After her head was out they realized her cord was wrapped tightly around her neck and her shoulders were stuck. My midwife had me stand up in the tub, squat and push her out that way. She was born into the water but not in the way we imagined. She wasn't crying and her face was blue. The nurse had to cut her cord right away and they took her out into the main part of the room. DH went out with her to see what was going on. They had to give her oxygen for a few minutes but she perked up right away. My midwife thinks that the cord was around her neck the whole time but with the last few pushes it just got really tight then because her heartrate was fine.
She weighed 9lbs and was 20 3/4 inches long. We named her Elise Katherine. Her big sister loves her so much and has done so good with her!
Here's a picture from today:

We are so in love with her!
