Hello ladies,
I'm new to this board, although I have been around for quite some time. I am mostly a lurker but try to post from time to time as time allows. Seems that work gets in the way! Any who, my story is my DH and I have been TTC #2 for going on 3 years now. We have a son who will be 12 in March (my son has a different dad than my DH). DH was originally dx with low sperm count (low numbers all around). We started seeing an RE this past fall 2010 and found out he has low morph and the rest of his numbers are normal. They ran tests on me (labs & HSG) and everything on me came back normal. We have done a couple IUIs without success. Do you ladies have any other ideas if they should run any other tests on me?? I am beginning to wonder if I have an issue that they didn't test for. But maybe that is just in my head. I know you are all very informative and supportive for everyone with IF issues. I hope nothing but the best for you all in your TTC journey!!! Thanks for listening and the support in advance!
Re: New to the board!
Welcome!
Well first welcome to the TTTC board. Second, it sounds like you and I are in the same boat. My DH's has also been dx with poor morph, low motility and most recently low count. My tests also came back normal and to date they have not recommended any further testing for me.
Did they try Clomid on your Dh or what other treatment options were you given?
Welcome!
Welcome! If you are ovulating regularly, have had an HSG and b/w and they are monitoring your lining and progesterone during your IUIs, I can't think of anything else to really test for, but I'd definitely ask your doctor.
As for YH's morph, doctors disagree on its importance, but it sounds like it may be a factor for you guys. How low is it? I had MH quit smoking completely, cut way down on alcohol and caffeine and he started taking some vitamins/supplements (For morph- Fertility Blend for Men, Pycnogenol, COQ10, Vitamin C; If he's going to only take 1 or 2, I'd go with the Fertility Blend and Pycnogenol which is a super antioxidant that was shown in studies to improve morph). It takes at least 3 months to show any improvement and he hasn't had a SA since he's taken them, but I figure it can't hurt. Good luck
