We just got an elliptical and I am looking forward to getting back to exercising.
I keep seeing different things about the effect of exercising on BM. The best time I can exercise while I am still at home for a few more weeks is while LO is napping, but when he wakes up, I feed him (I try to do a loose version of EASY)... this is when lactic acid would be in the milk and make it sour....
When do you all exercise? Especially working moms? (I'll probably do it after we put him down to bed at 8:30).
Thanks!

Re: Working out
I have never had any issue with nursing after working out either. I have heard the study that showed babies refused milk after the mother worked out was flawed because they were offering breastfed babies milk in droppers as opposed to straight from the breast. I'm sure there were a good number of babies that refused based on the delivery method rather than the milk itself.
As far as working out after going back to work, I'm struggling with this one myself. I'd like to go and nurse on my lunch break, so working out then is out and we will have so little time in the evenings when he's awake I don't want to miss anytime there. I think I'm going to be left with getting up really early to workout or doing it after he goes to bed. Neither option thrill me, but you do what you gotta do...
