I have a new RE and I am so happy with my choice to change Drs. I had my first consultation with a new RE yesterday and he restored so much confidence that I had lost. He even did an ultrasound to review the cyst and it was more high tech than my old RE office had sent me for. He thinks the cyst is an endometrium cyst but he said it is so small and no reason to have it removed. It is not impeding ovulation and I am not in any pain. He agrees that a year and half is a long time and is on the same page with me that he just wants to get me pregnant. He seemed pretty confident I would get there.
So my new plan is I am going to do one more IUI with follitism and if that is not successful then we will move on to IVF. My old RE was worried about over stimulating me but the new RE said he will be put me on a very low does and if I over respond we will cancel the cycle and then I will move on to IVF.
I have to go to an injects class on Friday and then once AF arrives I will start the injects cycle.
I am nervous and never thought I would have to go to IVF but I am also frustrated and need an end to this. It just has been going on too long.
I am excited about my new plan and RE. I definitely think I will get more personalized attention and I will actually see my primary Dr. Thanks for listening and f you read this far here is a drink for you!![]()
Re: New RE & New Plan (long)
DH and I are switching RE's also. Our consult with the new Dr is on Thursday. I'm very excited and I hope to get a little more personalized attention. My old RE made it seem like an assembly line. Never did an ultrasound or anything. It just didn't feel right. We got a good reccomendation from DH's friend at work for this Dr.
I'm really excited to switch. GL to you on this cycle and thanks for the drink!
I was just reading your siggy... you have had a hell of a year. GL with your IVF. I hope it works out for you.
Thanks Hun! I have my fingers crossed that we will both get our BFP's in the next few months!
Glad to hear you like the new RE better!
How many cycles of IUI did you do with Columbia?
That is exactly how my old RE was! It was like a factory. I am much happier with the new practice and ready to start my new plan. Good luck at your new practice, when is your appt?
My appt is thursday!
and hopefully the snow has stopped by then and we get to keep it. I need CD24 bloodwork on that day also. Fingers are crossed.
Good luck! Keep us posted!
So so excited for you girl!! I sent you a PM yesterday, I was hoping it went well
It really sounds like you are in good hands (finally!) and yay for a plan!! Fingers crossed for you.
I did 2 at Columbia. Even my RE said yesterday Columbia is a very good practice but you need to know how to navigate the system. Good luck with your IUI!
Thanks!! I didn't check yesterday, I was crazed at work b/c I had to leave early for my appt. Will check now
