6 week ultrasound and heart rate

Last friday at exactly 6 weeks 0 days we had an ultrasound due to some cramping (turns out I have a corpus luteum cyst) The tech was amazed to see the heart was already beating and it was beating 101 bpm. Just curious if anyone else has had an ultrasound so early and what your baby's heart rate was. My dr won't see the results until later this week so I won't know anything until then.

    we had ours at 6w6d and it was 131. The dr advised us before doing it that a day that early on can be a big difference in even hearing the HB at all. So I wouldn't be alarmed. They also said at 6wks they are looking for over 100 which you def hit the mark :)))

    Yes, 5.8 weeks according to their machine at 100bpm.

    132 at 6w3d and 126 at 6w5d.  Got to actually hear it at the 6w5d U/S, but fertility dr has state of the art machine.

    At 6w exactly 101.  Went back next week and measured 7w3d and it had gone up to 156.

    KayJay10--- Did you go back the next week because of the heart rate being 101 at 6 weeks? I am getting mixed things when I goggle what a heart rate should be and now I am just a bit concerned. Just curious why you had another u/s.

    I hope I have the same experience. I am getting one a week from today due to a previous M/C.  I hope I have the same results as you :)

    We had an u/s at 5 weeks, 5 days and there was a heartbeat around that BPM.

    The heart starts beating around 6 weeks, and over 100 BPM is a good sign. So sounds like great news.

    we had an ultrasound yesterday at 6 w 1 day.  We saw the hearbeat and everything.  My Dr just eyeballs the heartrate to make sure it seems fine but doesn't actually read the exact heartbeat until later. so we go in next week to get an actual heartbeat reading. 

    my dr specifically doesn't read heartbeat at 6 weeks because there is so much variation as it is just starting. so i think you are in good shape and i wouldn't worry!
