still not sleeping through the night = ONE TIRED MOMMA

Some nights she will sleep all night, then others wake up once then others like 5-6 times a night. 

I really don't want to do FERBER but I might have to.

    except for 2-3 weeks around 4 months, my son has never STTN. He still wakes 2-3 times a night, either to eat or play.  I feel your pain!

    I know the feeling.  We actually did/do Ferber, but he still has his times when he needs to eat in the middle of the night.  Luckily, after Ferber he can eat and go back to bed on his own.  I'm also soooo sick of hearing about all my friends babies who have been sleeping through the night since 2 months...seriously, I don't need to hear it, and don't tell me to switch to formula so I can have that, too.   sheesh, sorry about my mini vent :P

    Amen, My friends are always talking about what to do. Um sorry I have tried that not working, just be happy your kids sleeps Smile

    My DD doesn't technically STTN, but we have been considering it as such because the last couple weeks she's slept better than ever before:  7:30-11:30, nurse, 11:45-4:00, nurse, 4:15-7:30 or 8:00.

    It's been AWESOME compared to what it was before (every 2 hours).

    Uggh I feel your pain! I was just posting this on my FB. I have tried ferber too and it works for a night or two and then back to waking up again. Most of my problem is that my LO wants to be held all night so he will fall asleep when I am holding him and as soon as I put him down he is wide awake again. Please tell me they eventually grow out of it. And the whole formula thing that doesn't matter. I am weaning off of breastmilk just because my goal was 6 months and I made it so he now he only nurses about once a day the rest is formula, still not sleeping! I don't mind him waking up I just wish he would go back to sleep!!

    Add me to the list.  I'm exhasted.  Except for the 2:00 hour, he was up every single hour last night.  I finally brought him to bed with me at 3:30, and he nursed for the next 4 hours until DD got up.  I can't function like this, and I'm out of idea.s

    I'm right there with all ofYOU!  My LO is 6 1/2 months old as well and no rhyme or reason to night time sleep.  Some nights he will go a 5 hour stretch other nights he's up every 2 hours.  He CANNOT sleep on his own after 4:00 so he comes to bed and I nurse him but he does not sleep really well there either.  I too am completely frustrated and exhausted.  I had hoped starting solids would help him, not so.
