There has been a lot of crying and general grumpiness at our house lately. Last week, M had a fever and was very unhappy (lots of crying, not consolable). Took her to the doctor and there was no official sickness, ears and lungs clear, just a cold. Friday night the fever broke, and Saturday she was fine. BUT we travelled that day, so her sleep was really disrupted (no proper nap, just in the car, and half-asleep in the car on the way back, so she got into her crib around 9:45).
Anyhow, for the past 2 nights she has woken up multiple times during the night, crying hysterically. It takes quite a while to calm her down. Any guesses on what this is? Teething? (one front tooth just broke through) Or, if no ideas, please send STTN vibes back to my house!
Re: Oh, the crying
Rachel has been waking up the past few nights because of gas. I've gone into her room and tried to console her without much luck and then she has let out a foghorn of a toot and then passed right back out.
Whatever it is with Mallory I hope she is feeling better soon. And that the sleep fairy drops some STTN juju on your house.
If she just popped out a tooth, there may be more right behind it. Another factor is that she may be too cold or too warm to sleep comfortably. If the weather's been colder than usual, that might be a factor.
But I second the motrin/tylenol at bedtime to see if that helps her feel better.
