frustrated & intro

hello-

I'm 30 years old and have had 2 miscarriages this year. The first was last summer and was early (about 6 weeks).  We hadn't had an ultrasound yet, and felt like it would work next time.  Then, lucky again, we got pregnant in September. We had an ultrasound that showed a heartbeat and everything looked great. I had a small amount of spotting in November (about 10.5 weeks) and went in to the ED for what I thought would be reassurance, and they couldn't find a heartbeat.  I can't describe the sadness & devistation, and I'm sorry than you all know the feeling as well.  I had a D&C 3 days later, and I've been waiting every since for my period.  The holidays were tough-- they were supposed to be different, but I've been doing better since then.  

I know that it seems stupid, and I'm sure it will be a tough time emotionally (and probably physically from what I read about the cramping) but it's been 8 weeks and I'm feeling totally frustrated to not have my next AF and move towards trying again.  My OB offered provera, but I don't see the point-- it just would mean that my next cycle could be weird again too.  She said not to worry, that 6-8 weeks and even a little longer is normal, but this just feels cruel and frustrating.

    Hello. I am so incredibly sorry for your losses.  Unfortunatly I know the feeling as well as all of the other ladies on this board.  This is a great place to come and vent, meet new woman who understand when it seems like no one else does, give support to other who need it and to ask questions when you need to.  We are here for you.

    I am also really sorry that you have been waiting for AF so this long.  There has to be something you can take to bring it on or somthing, I know your doc said that it is kind of normal to wait this long but did you ask if you HAVE to?  I hope things speed up for you soon.

    Thank you for such kind words and thoughtful responses-- I'm glad I found this board.  The medication that my OB said I could take is provera. I just keep thinking that maybe I'll get AF tomorrow, so what would be the point.  I'm starting to think that optimism is a little stupid. Has anyone else been told to take the provera pills to kick start things again?
