BRU discount

Does BRU send you a coupon in the mail for the registry completion discount?  When do they usually send it by?  I am 36 wks and still haven't gotten mine.  thanks!

  • I got an email on Friday from BRU letting me know that they will be sending a 15% completion coupon, but I have not received it  yet.

  • They told me it would be sent 2 weeks before due date. But we talked to a manager and asked if they could honor it early because we had the money and wanted to buy everything that night because we already had out baby showers and really we didnt buy a whole lot off our registry except the really big stuff like stroller, etc. Because we changed our minds on the things we had put on there.

    They did. They gave us a photocopied 10%  or 15% (I cant remember) off paper thing and told us to use that and the other one will be void when it comes.

    I also had a book of coupons I used- one was $20 off a stroller, and like 15% off tommee tippee bottles, etc. So I would look for coupons (I know they are always handing them out after you purchase something) and use that in conjunction with your registry coupon.

    So we did all our shopping we needed to that night and didn't have to wait. We spent over $400 which is great because it was during the 10% back with the rewards. So I ended up getting about $40+ dollars to spend in reward certificates sent to me... Yay... But I hate that you cant use them on diapers!  And they comes as like 5 or 6 - $5 or $6 towards your purchase not like a whole "Here's $40 to spend" LOL But I think you can use multiple dollar off coupons on one order/item. It doesnt say you cant Stick out tongue

     If you are ready to buy I would ask the manager. I don't know if they do it a lot...

  • the completion coupon for BRU is 10% and it is sent out according to your due date.  Some people put their actual due date and some people put their shower date.  You will hear a million answers as the WHEN someone actually got the coupon (if at all).  Some people get theirs after their due date.  If you want it now and have not received it, then you can just go in the store, pull up your registry, and have them print out a completion coupon for you.  It's that easy.  They print it out and put your registry number on it.  You don't have to use it right then either.  BUT you can only use it once.

  • Good info ladies.  I went ahead and changed my due date in their system to next week so hopefully they will send the coupon out soon!  I really don't want to wait until two weeks before my baby is due.

    Mine was 15% as well.  When I was ready to buy, I just asked for it at the desk.  They gave me the coupon early with no problems or questions asked.

  • I just had a horrible experience at our BRU yesterday.  I'm due February 4th and when we initially registered the person told us we'd get the coupon in the mail or we could pick it up in store.  We went to the store yesterday & they told us they no longer handed out the completion coupons at the store and that the coupon doesn't get sent in the mail until 2 weeks after your due date!  We told them we came in specifically to complete our registry & wasn't there anything they could do, and after talking with customer service & the manager they wouldn't do anything for us!  DH and I were SO pissed!  I sent them an email complaint this morning & am hoping they will try to fix this, and DH was sending them an email too.  They've already ticked us off enough though that we went & started a registry on Amazon that has all the items from our BRU registry on it, and got 10% off all of it & free shipping.  We have some GCs for BRU though so we left a few things to get still from there so we can use the GCs but spend very little of our own money there.
