Follie Check #1

I had my first follie check this morning. I've only been on stims for 3 days so I wasn't expecting to see much. I've got 4 follies on my left ovary and 4 on my right. None are measurable yet, but that's okay...slow & steady wins the race, right? I do have what appears to be an endometrioma on my right ovary. It wasn't there last Wed. at my suppression check so it was a surprise. My RE is waiting to see what my E2 levels are and I'll get my med instructions for tonight. I'm trying hard to be positive, I just read some studies that I found online and it looks like endometriomas don't really effect the outcomes of IVF cycles, so that is easing my mind a bit. Ive got my fingers crossed that those follies (and maybe a few more) keep growing. I go back Wed. for another check.

Yay! 8 follies is a great start! I'll keep my fingers crossed that they grow big and hopefully bring a few more along with them! i don't know anything about the endo but at least you found some stuff out there saying it shouldn't have an effect. And I think if IF has taugh us anything it's that slow and steady def wins the race! Stay positive... and I'll make sure to stay positive for you too!

This is the mantra I am using as well. I figure that if they grow slowly, they must have a better quality egg in there vs. a follie that grew to a crazy size overnight.

Slow & steady= Yes

! I stimmed for 12 days and thought, why is this taking so long! At my last follie check (u/s #5), the nurse counted 9 measurable follies, but at ER my RE got 18 eggs:) Grow follies grow! Good luck:)
