Outsmarted the hunger striker.

So this morning, I prepared two bowls of cereal with bananas and honey drizzled on top.  One I set at J's place at the table, the other I took with me to sit beside him and eat myself.  He immediately wanted a bite.  I refused.  And refused.  And kept refusing through tears, stomping feet, and pouting.

I just noticed (but pretended not to notice) that he's in there scarfing down what looks like a good amount of his cereal.

SCORE!  Just goes to prove that this hungerstrike crap is a totally mind/power game.  UGH.

Guess I'll have to hone my mind/power game strategies some more.

  • Haley is doing the same thing these days.  She sat in her room for 10 minutes last night pouting bc she didn't want spaghetti.  It's definitely a power game bc when she came downstairs, she said she'd eat.  It's exhausting trying to stay one step ahead!
