Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone out there with PCOS has been able to conceive without using medications or fertility treatments?
Did you use any herbal mediciations or specific methods while TTC with PCOS?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!
Carley
Re: TTC with PCOS
I have not had any success so far but I am giving it another couple of months before I start medication. You may be able to find more success stories over on the tri-boards or success after IF.
I am taking Vitex, Dandelion, Black Cohosh, Cramp Bark, and Red rasberry leaf tea and seeing an acupuncturist twice a week.
Good luck!!

Clomid Cycle 1 = BFP! ~ Our little miracle was born 11/1/11
Until recently I had only ovulated with the help of Femara. I did manage to get pregnant twice, but m/c both times. Since the m/c I have been ovulating on my own, but my doctor thinks it's because of my weight loss (40lbs). The first thing you probably should do is start charting to see if you're ovulating, as some women with PCOS still do.
Married 1/2/99.
TTC since 4/09.
Diagnosed PCOS. Diagnosed Hypothryoid 11/09.
SHG & SA normal. PCOS Research study started 5/10.
Clomid/Femara cycle #1 - 6/10 = BFN
Clomid/Femara cycle #2 - 7/10 = BFP #1 - Missed miscarriage 9/2/10
11/12 - BFP #2 - 11/22 - m/c
5/1/11 - BFP #3 - Pre-eclampsia, IUGR & bed rest from 32w. DD born via induction 1/4/12.
Thanks so much for all of your input!
I hope I didn't offend anyone by the way my post was worded about medications. The only reason I'm not on medications to assist with ovulating is because I can't afford them at the moment. They're super expensive where I live and my health benefits at work don't cover them.
I'm also about 45 lbs. overweight which I'm actively trying to lose, so I'm hoping that the weight loss will help with ovulation.
