We are flying next week and need to bring enough frozen breastmilk with us for a week. I have no idea how to transport it. Has anyone done this before did you use dry ice? If so, what type of container did you use and how did you pack it? If you used something else please share what you used and how you packed it. We will need to keep everything frozen for at least 8 hours. TIA
Re: Need help - flying with frozen breast mik
Please keep your LOs RF as long as possible
Well, I would be most concerned with how to keep milk completely frozen for 8 hours. If it defrosts even a little bit, then I wouldn't want to refreeze it. So, I would think dry ice or lots of cooler packs. And a really good quality cooler.
I would call the airline and ask if it's going to be a problem to carry-on 200+ ounces of milk. The most I've ever carried on is about 20 ounces.
