daycare for teachers?

Are any of you ladies teachers that live in the NW suburbs (Maple Grove, Plymouth, New Hope, Golden Valley area).  I'm looking for a daycare starting in April that is teacher friendly (meaning I will not be sending my child to daycare in the summer), at home or center recommendations.

 Thanks :)

Re: daycare for teachers?

  • Some daycares will let you pay a holding fee for your spot in the fall. I found several that were willing to do that (at least at the time I asked). Others were not so lenient. PM me if you want to know what daycare we used (it is in Minnetonka/ Wayzata)... not sure if that works for you or not. Congrats on the arrival of your LO!

  • I was wondering the same thing. I am just starting to interview in home daycares and wondering if there is one that would offer this...

  • Ask around at your school to get recommendations on daycares that only have teachers kids.  I pay every week throughout the school year but do not pay during the summer or a holding fee.
  • The holding fees that I wound were reasonable (like $75) so it is not at all a huge expense.
