Too many follies?

We had our monitoring ultrasound today, after 100 mg Clomid. I apparently had a "robust" response and had quite a few follies. We triggered today, and are planning the IUI tomorrow. I know this has been asked before, but what is considered a mature follicle? I had 9 that we measured and a few more less than 10 mm that we didn't worry about.

The two dominant ones were 22 and 18 mm, with one other at 17 mm. She said those were the most likely to have mature eggs. But there two 14, two 13 and two 12 mm ones as well. Any idea what the odds of those having mature eggs would be? Just wondering what others experiences have been with this. Thanks!

ETA: also, if you had more than three mature follies, did they have you take a lower dose of Clomid for the next cycle?

    My RE considers anything between 18-25 mm to be mature. Follies grow about 1-2mm per day so the 14, 13 and 12 follies may not be mature by tomorrow's IUI. Sounds like you have 3 good ones!  

    I respond really well to Clomid too. I had 5 mature follies on my last round of Clomid 100mg. My IUI got cancelled as a result so my RE put me on 50mg my next cycle and I made 2 mature follies.

    My RE considers follies between 20-25mm mature.  So he would have considered there to be 3 mature follies.  I think with more than that, he may have canceled my cycle because of the risk of HOM.  If I were older or something, perhaps he wouldn't cancel though.  Even if the trigger grows your smaller follies by 2 or 2.5mm in a day, I would *think* they wouldn't be considered mature.

    1/11: IUI #2 = 5mg Femara + trigger + IUI = BFN
    2/11: IUI #3 = injectibles + trigger + IUI = BFN
    IVF #1 April 2011 ER 4/23 w/16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fert., 4 blasts to freeze, 5dt of 2 blasts on 4/28, beta #1 5/7 = 243... beta #2 5/9 = 491....beta #3 5/11 = 1113!!
