Hello, I am a newbie here - although I have been lurking for a couple of months. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jamie and I am 33 yo with known PCOS. I have been off BCP since May and started a workup with my gyn in December. My last cycle was over 90 days that ended with Provera. I had a f/u appt yesterday and was floored when my dr told me MH SA results --- 16% motility and 2% morphology. We now have a RE appt on 1/18 but I am so overwhelmed at this point. I really though our problems were because of my PCOS and now to add the MFI -- I am so discouraged. Anyone else with a similar situation? Any advice?
Thanks is advance
Re: PCOS and MFI
I hope it is ok that I respond. I have PCOS and irregular cycles and we found out the DH had a low count, low motility and poor morph. We were devastated to find out we both had issues. My DH took vitamins and clomid and it did help his count but not his motility.
We tried IUI three times (one was cancelled because I didn't respond to clomid) but his post was counts were very low so they never stood a very good chance.
I am now PG with twins after our first attempt at IVF w/ICSI. I hope IUI does the trick for you (and it has a better chance since he doesn't have a low count) but if not please know it can happen with IVF.
