Hello there! I am BRAND new to The Bump 
I already love it here! I am still trying to learn my way around. What are your stories? I am 25 years old, and my husband and I just got married this past July. I went off Birth Control in August...and we've neither been trying, nor preventing. About three months ago we both caught baby fever I'm a little nervous and scared because my periods are very irregular. I got one on my own in September after coming off BC, and then skipped October. I got a period in November and December, and seemed to have skipped this month. I've taken two pregnancy tests, both with negative results. I know it doesn't happen fast, I just feel like this a precursor to how TTC will go. Aside from the TTC part of me, I am a 2nd grade teacher in a small town in Pennsylvania and I love my job! I hope we can be friends Have a fabulous night!

DH and I are on our 3rd cycle ttc after going off the pill on Nov. 7th. We met in law school in the law library (nerds!) and are currently both practicing attorneys.

With your "non-standard" cycles, I think you would benefit greatly from charting. I suggest you check out Fertility Friend (link from any of the tickers in peoples siggies) and highly suggest you read "Take Charge of Your Fertility." It is very empowering to know what is going on with your body and could cut down the amount of time you and your DH will have to TTC.

Hi! Welcome and good luck. I have irregular cycles too....it really helps to chart your temp and use opk's. This way you will know your most fertile time and ensure that you have sex during your fertile period. Read the link at the top of the board and grab a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility.

Hi and welcome! Don't worry too much about your cycles being irregular, that's pretty common up to a year coming off BCP. It took me 9 months to start having normal, regular cycles.
I'll echo some of the other suggestions...read Taking Charge of Your Fertility, chart through FertilityFriend.com, use OPKs and come here with any questions! Good luck!
Hi and welcome! I wouldn't worry too much about your irregular cycles, it can take your body up to a year to get regulated after coming off BCP. I took 9 months before having a normal, regular cycle.

Hi! I'm new here as well and I also teach second grade! My DH and I have been married since July of 2009 . I turn 29 in March and plan on going of BC then...but we are not TTC until July. Until then, I'm just here getting to know people and gain as much info as possible! Best of luck to you!
