Post pregnancy jeans??? please HELP!!

I am 10 weeks PP now. I've lost most of the weight, the problem is, my belly isn't real fat, it is like loose skin. So when I put regular jeans on I get a super muffin top, and I just can't have that. But I also can't have living in stretch pants and my maternity pants from early pregnancy for to much longer. Anyone having the same problem as I am? Suggestions on what jeans/pants are good for PP. Please!

  • I don't have a solution, but am in the same position you are. I'm planning to venture out next weekend and buy some new jeans and work pants, likely in a bigger size. I plan to go to the places I bought pants pre-pregnancy, but I think it will be a lot of trial and error. GL!!

  • Ugh, I feel the same and I'm only 2 1/2 weeks PP.  Have 7 pounds to go to be back at pre-pregnancy weight but am sick of wearing maternity pants and/or looking like a slob in stretchy pants.  I did buy a tummy tamer that works great for support and slimming but I'm not quite back to regular jeans just yet.  From that I can tell I'll have some skin issues as you describe.  I sure hope you get some good responses here!

  • Well I keep seeing an infomercial on BRAVO for pajama jeans...

    Jk... those things are hilarious!!!

I have no idea about pants, but I have the same problem you do! I bought these tight undershirts at Target called "Work It Without Working Out". They are in the bra section and they actually go under your boobs, so great to wear with nursing bras. They do a great job of tightening things up a bit.

I can't find it on Target's website, but here is a similar one at Wal-Mart:

  • Saaaaaaaaame here.. I fit into my old jeans and weigh about the same as pre-preg, but my stomach looks horrible. I've been thinking about getting one of those undershirts PP talked about, but I can't wait until my tummy gets tightened up!!

I still wear maternity jeans most of the time.. I feel like buying bigger jeans is like giving up. If I want to wear "normal" jeans, I need to get myself back into them.

  • I'm to pp weight and I fit into my jeans, but I just got cleared to start working out last tuesday. So until I'm back to my regular fitness level I am loving my spanx. I wear them whenever I'm going out, they just smooth everything and help me feel like I look normal.

  • I am back at my pre-pregnancy weight, but I also have lots of loose belly skin. I don't button my jean and wear a belt. I don't want to spend any money on new jeans that I hope not to fit in for very anyway.

  • I know the feeling! The tank from Target really helps, so do Spanx. They help smooth everything out.

I gave in and bought one pair of jeans one size up. My maternity jeans were falling off and only a few of my regular pairs fit okay. But, that's it, no more new pants until the regular size fits :)

  • I just used my Bella Band for the first few weeks PP. I used it for the first couple weeks when I was still wearing maternity to help them stay up. After my regular pants would button, I didn't like the way they squeezed my extra belly skin, and the Bella Band gave me another inch or two.

  • Try spanx. They tuck all the lose skin away:)
  • I have the same problem... I can fit into most of my jeans now, but only wear a select few that don't push the ponch out!
