So I have only ordered maternity clothing from Gap and have been looking at Old Navy. We do not have a Maternity Store close enough for me to shop in the store, only online. What are your opinions on their clothing? Anything in particular you would recommend? I never had much luck with their regular clothing so I am hesitant to order, however their prices are hard to pass up.
Thanx ladies!
Re: Old Navy Maternity?? Opinions?
3 more miscarriages and finally a correct diagnosis (septate uterus) and a corrective uterine surgery later, our second blessing is here!
I like them - especially for the price. I am not really into spending a crapton of money on maternity, especially since this is our last baby. I want decent comfy clothing, that washes well and looks good on. I feel like ON covers that for me.
That said, 99% of their things run BIG. Most tops tend to be wide and very flowy. Pants are bigger too. With ON, I tend to either size down or buy my true size. My true size will likely be big right now, but will fit the entire pregnancy. I never size up, if I am debating two sizes, I always go with the smaller one.

I like old navy maternity for the most part. Just check sizing, ditto pp. It all seems to run big.
I have a ton of ON maternity my SIL sent me. We both like it. It's not high end quality with perfect fit by any standards, but it's cheap, cute and does the job. That's all I ask for with clothes I wear for a short time, get so sick of wearing and want to burn when I'm done anways.
I will give it up for their long sleeved v-necks though. SIL and I have passed the same ones back and forth and they still fit and look good.
Their pants definitely run big, but less so than Gap maternity pants (maybe? I've only tried one pair of Gap maternity pants...) I have the Old Navy corduroys, and love them. I bought them one size down, and would've been fine with 2 sizes down probably, but the one size down is fine. I've even been wearing them to work (business casual, with a long-ish top that covers the jeans-type styling at the top.) I also bought their skinny jeans and love them; I bought my pre-pregnancy "skinny day" size, and that fits well.
Their tops are more questionable. The ones that appear fitted, for whatever reason, have really small/skinny arms. I'm a small/petite person, and would normally pick up an XS, but the XS was too small in the arms. I've never had clothes be too small in the arms before. A small would probably have been just fine though (but I was tired and sick of trying stuff on...)

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

This. Just read the reviews of each piece before you order. I have a bunch of tops and a few pairs of pants from ON that I like a lot. The regular t-shirts do run big though, but some other knit shirts run small.
I just purchased a lot of stuff from there... I am 6 months pregnant with my 2nd pregnancy and do not want to purchase expensive clothes this time for work. I got shirts in the store for under 5 dollars.....16 items for under 80 dollars!!!
The quality is not as good or flattering as motherhood maternity but than again your only wearing it for a limited time.
I never held you, but I always loved you.

This exactly!! I got some Gap maternity stuff for Christmas that didn't fit, and it was extremely annoying to deal with mailing it back. I even called a Gap maternity store, and customer service to ask if I could return to the store--nope. I'm 99% sure that the Old Navy policy is the same for maternity stuff you buy online. This is the only reason I'm hesitant to shop at either place for maternity.
It's extra annoying, because anything else you order that's non-maternity is so easy to bring back to the store!!
I just ordered 3 pairs of maternity jeans a few weeks ago.. I agree with PP about sizes running big, 2 pairs were tolerable, but one pair was so large I had to exchange them for a pair 2 sizes smaller. I had to exchange by mail (which is annoying) but it was a five minute phone call and basically hassle free.
Anyway, the jeans are awesome. Super comfy.
