Was crazy busy with work last week so I'm finally getting around to thinking about new year's resolutions now. I think if we each post one baby-related resolution and one non-baby related resolution, once it's in print we might be more accountable. So I'll start:
BR: I resolve that DH and I will eat more meals at the dinner table with Simon -as a family - rather than parking him in his high chair in front of the t.v. He always eats better at daycare than at home and I think that's because he is sitting around the table with the other kids. My pediatrician has lectured me about that.
NBR: I resolve to get my fat ass training for either a half marathon, century or duathlon. It's been 3 years since I've done any kind of race and right now I'm not even in shape to run a turkey trot!
Re: Ok time for a New Year's resolution post!
NBR:I reslove to be a little kinder to my husband. He is the greatest man in the world and at times I take him for granted!
BR: I resolve to NOT let Gracie sleep with me if she is crying at night because it's easier for me!
Great idea!
My resolutions are...
BR: To be more patient with M. To relinquish enough control that I can allow someone to look after him so DH and I can get out alone a bit more. To get him involved in more activities with other kids.
NBR: To read more, to write more and to exercise more.
My Blog

BR: To get Margaux around other babies more.
NBR: To be easier on myself.
Dude, that's three!
Can I say that I was hoping to "miss" this post if I laid low long enough. Damn you Mtrider, Damn you!!!!
BR: My resolution is to get a few workbooks and sitting down with Maddie for a few minutes everyday to work on colors, numbers and the alphabet.
NBR: Oh, just the usual: lose the muffin top! I am already 3 days into it. I have other ones that depend on this one (like tossing old clothes and getting a new wardrobe - nothing fancy, just new tops and some new jeans, maybe a real *purdy* dress).
BR: To read a book to Michael every night.
NBR: To cook healthier and eat out less (as I eat Chinese Takeout)
BR: To be more patient. Whether at bedtime, playtime, dinnertime...not to feel rushed to get things done so soon.
NBR: To tone up and eat less chocolate.
BR: To be more patient with all my childeren.
NBR: To lose that weight of course.
BR: To have another LO (we're about ready to start trying)
NBR: To spend more quality time with DH (also see above)
BR: To let DH take care of Sarah more and trust him to do it 'right'.
NBR: To reconnect with friends I have neglected since Sarah's arrival.
One of the blogs I follow ( https://christinekane.com/blog/resolution-revolution-a-better-way-to-start-your-year/ )has been talking about using a word to guide you through the year, rather than a resolution that is only action based.
So my word for this year is REFINE. I want to focus on refining my health, my business, my home and my skills in photography.
As far as L, I want to read to him a bit more and try to find more kids his age for socialization.
Mwhahahahahaha!
Darn it - I am in agreement with daisiesinmygarden - I was trying to avoid this too. Okay, here it goes...
BR - get pregnant again. For S, I need to be more consistent in reading to her. For T, I need to make an effort to call more often and text less.
NBR - don't stress out so much. My motto for January is "if I am stressing about something, I need to either a) deal with it ASAP, b) put it aside and schedule to do it soon or c) let it go". The letting go is the part I s*ck at.
BR: To spend more time with DD teaching her words and such.
NBR: To lose at least 30 lbs (I've already lost 20) before our cruise at the end of May. I want to be able to really enjoy myself & like the way I look in pics with DD. I have far too few of them because of my weight. I would also like to have a clean house more often.
