Centerpiece ideas for 1st birthday

We went and put a deposit down at a Korean rest for Thomas' bday. We'll probably have 50-60 people so probably 5-6 tables. The table and chairs will be covered in white so I'd like to add some color with a centerpiece. Does anyone have any ideas? We'll play a game and the CP will be the prize.

    Vases full of animal crackers or non-chokeable toys? Those picture clip tree thingies with pics of T?

    Is there a fruit or flower with a special meaning or significance in the Korean culture you could use?

    *  edible arrangement -- that would be very colorful and tasty too.  You'd just have a problem keeping the guests hands off of it and might not get so great after sitting out for a while

    *  lego sculpture of some sort - you can even get some of the buildings ones that even adults would like or go more fun like Star Wars or Harry Potter or just basic house

    *  flowers are always a safe bet -- you could do some more tropical picks for a big dramatic punch of color

    *  Big stuffed animal with some smaller more colorful toys but that could get nasty around all that food.

    *  3-D puzzle put together
