We have CD'd DD since the hospital. We are headed to CA for 2 weeks to visit old friends and we are debating on just doing sposies for the trip. I really hate the idea....but cleaning them will be an issue since we are staying with my friend & her BF and the BF said no to washing them there (my friend could care less...but I want to respect him as well). Plus it means we have one less bag to check at the airport! ![]()
What sposies are more EF? Do I need to get some for daytime & some for nighttime? (DD usually stays in the same diaper all night since I stuff the crap out of it!)
Any idea what size DD would wear? She weighed in at 16lbs and 26.5in last week.
Re: Sposie help needed :)
She's probably size 2 but could maybe wear a 3.
I'd use the same diapers for night as daytime. When we traveled when C was younger with BF poop I would put a cloth diaper cover over the disposable in case of leaks (we had a LOT of poop leaks when we used disposables in the 3-5 month range).
As far as EF diapers...I just use huggies because they are easy to get - you don't have to TAKE the giant package with you, but can buy most of them there.
I also used the PUL cover over Sposies trick the few times we used them in that age range. Saved a few messy blowouts for sure.
I've never tried 7th gen. but I LOVE the Earth's Best. They fit so nicely and we have only had leaks overnight. they have no yucky chemical smell and they seem soft and are thin and not bulky while still holding a good amount of waste. I highly recommend them. They are a bit spendy, but worth it IMO. Overnight I'd throw a wool cover over or something and she should be ok.
Best of luck w/ your disposable experience!
