Okay.. for some reason my brain is fried and I cannot think clearly.
I am going to a baby shower next weekend for a baby that will be born in March. I wanted to get some clothes, which was hard to do since spring/summer stuff is not out yet.
I got some stuff from the Gap in 6-12 months for the fall. Will 6-12 work for a baby who will be 7-8 months in the fall? (It goes up to 17lbs) For some reason I have no recollection of what size Jackson was. I feel like he was 12-18 months at that age, but he was also enormous, so who knows.
Re: Infant clothes sizing question
DS is a moose and was in 12 months at that age.
If you're looking at fall/winter clothes, opt for the lighter stuff that can be worn late summer when it's cooler.
I think that there would be more wearability (now I'm inventing words) if you did get a bigger size. Clothes can always be a tad big, a tad small just doesn't work.
Yeah you are totally right. Rather than hoping it is not too small for fall, I can do something that will def work for the winter.
::sigh:: back to the Gap, I go. I will have to go alone this time. With DH and DS breathing down my neck, it was really hard to think clearly.
It all depends on the baby. Tegan will be 13 months tomorrow, and she can still fit into 6-12 onesies and pants (although the pants are a tiny bit short). I would keep what you've bought, but make sure to give her a gift receipt. That way, if needed, she can exchange the clothes for a different size.
Also, if you shop online, you can find spring/summer clothes.
