Mar has a few pairs of footless tights that I love, but I'm not sure how to pair them with low cut shoes. They work easily with boots, but do I do socks or no socks if she's wearing them with mary janes or slip ons?
I would say for kids, you could do either. Probably without would look more "stylish", but if it's colder, with socks (maybe a colored sock to match the outfit or shoe instead of white) would look fine.
They're super cute with mary janes...my favorite combo on A these days is baby legs/footless tights/knee socks and a skirt with either boots or these shoes...
(BTW: they're cheaper on Amazon). They go with everything and while they're $ they get a lot of wear because they have an insole that's removable and makes them last a lot longer.
Oh...and we don't do socks, A is anti sock these days.
maddy is anti-pants so she wears leggings all.the.time with her dresses... we have her wear them with socks when it's cold, and also bc she has stinky feet!
When it is a little chilly outside, I will usually put a pair of leggings under Katelyn's dress. I have her wear a pair of frilly socks with it because of the cold and it is more comfortable for her. If it isn't freezing, I might pull the leggings up just a bit so there is a small space between the top of her sock and the legging (depending on the style of dress/legging).
Ankle length ones she typically wears with socks. I let E pick her own socks so if she picks plain socks she likes them pulled straight up underneath the leggings (she's pro-kneehighs, even if they are supposed to be fold down socks). If she picks something with trim on it then it goes on the outside of the legginngs. She'll wear anything from boots to high tops to mary jane sneakers with them.
She only goes sockless in the summer and she doesn't usually wear ankle length leggings then, but capri leggings that are either mid-calf or at the knee. She wears sandals or mary jane sneakers with them.

If footless tights = leggings...
